Gold Foil Effect in Photoshop

There are more ways to create a Gold Foil Effect in Photoshop. This one is quite simply to create.
I'll use a Text and Image to create this effect.

Step 1: Layer Style.

Activate these Layer Styles with the following settings:

  1. Inner Shadow: with Color just Black.
    1. Set the Blend Mode to Color Burn and Opacity around 75%
    2. Set the Angle to -58°
    3. Set the other settings to 2px, 0%, 5px
    4. Set the Contour to Linear and 5%
  2. Drop Shadow: with Color just Black.
    1. Set the Blend Mode to Color Burn and the Opacity around 85%
    2. Set the Angle to 113°
    3. Set the other setting to 2px, 0%, 3px
    4. Set the Contour to Linear and 3%

Step 2: Gold Texture.

Add a Gold Texture and create a Clipping Mask. Set the Blend Mode to Lighten.

Step 3: Layer Style 2;

Copy the original object with no Layer Styles active. Then create a new Layer Style for this copy:
  1. Inner Shadow: with the Color just White.
    1. Set the Blend Mode to Hard Licht and the Opacity around 60%
    2. Set the Angle to 140°
    3. Set the other settings to: 2px; 6%, 4px
    4. Set the Contour to Linear and 5%

Step 4: Paper Texture.

Add a Paper Texture with the Blend Mode to Multiply and the Opacity around 60% (depending on your object and texture).

Step 5: Adjustment Layers.

Create the following Adjustment Layers. The settings depend on your subject.
  1. Brightness/Contrast: 20, 15
  2. Hue/Saturation: saturation: 20
